General Safety:

Emergency Contact

We ensure all participants and volunteers have emergency contacts.
First Aid

There is a designated first aid station with trained personnel available throughout the event.
The location is clearly marked  easily accessible.

Emergency Procedures

Emergency exits are clear and  are unobstructed at all times.
Participants at the start of the event are given a brief orientation to inform participants of emergency procedures, including evacuation routes and assembly points.

Health Protocols

COVID-19 Precautions: Follow local guidelines for COVID-19 safety, including social distancing, mask-wearing, and hand sanitization.
Provide hand sanitizing stations throughout the venue.
Ensure the venue is well-ventilated and cleaned regularly.

Illness Policy

Encourage anyone feeling unwell to stay home and provide options for remote participation if feasible.
Implement a protocol for managing anyone who falls ill during the event, including isolation areas and procedures for notifying emergency contacts.

Venue Safety

Accessibility: Ensure the venue is accessible to individuals with disabilities, including accessible entrances, restrooms, and seating arrangements.
Security

Implement a check-in/check-out system to track attendance and ensure that all participants are accounted for.
Equipment Safety

Ensure all electrical equipment is PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) tested and safe to use.
Provide instructions on the proper use of any equipment or tools provided during the event.
